Clear, transparent policies for a smooth renovation experience.

1. Estimates & Quotes

All quotes provided by South Valley Flooring are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. Material costs are subject to change based on vendor pricing until a deposit is secured. We strive for accuracy, but unforeseen subfloor conditions discovered after demolition may require a Change Order (e.g., rotting wood, leveling needs beyond standard prep).

2. Payment Schedule

To schedule your project and order materials, we require a 50% deposit. This secures your spot on our calendar. The remaining balance is due upon substantial completion of the project (i.e., when the floor is installed and walkable). Punch-list items (minor touch-ups) do not justify withholding the entire final payment.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand life happens. You may cancel or reschedule your installation up to 14 days before the start date without penalty, heavily dependent on material return policies. Custom-ordered materials (stained-to-match vents, specific dye-lot woods) may be non-refundable or subject to a restocking fee.

4. Homeowner Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth install, please:

  • Remove all small items, breakables, and electronics from the work area.
  • Ensure a consistent indoor temperature of 60-80°F for 48 hours prior to installation.
  • Secure pets away from the work zone.

5. Liability

South Valley Flooring carries full general liability insurance. We take extreme care in your home, but minor scuffs to baseboards or paint are possible during the demolition of old flooring and should be expected as part of major renovation work.
